Terms of service

These terms govern your use of systemonemodels.tech, the System One model registry ("the registry"), its API and its command-line client (together, "the service"), operated by Biplov Gautam trading as System One Models ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

The registry lets you browse, download, publish and compare decision models and the files, metadata and writing that describe them. Parts of it are free to use without an account; publishing requires an account with a verified email address. The service is provided as it is, and we may change or discontinue features.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and access tokens private. Tokens act as you; revoke any you no longer use. You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. One person may hold one account unless we agree otherwise. Usernames are namespaces: they are public, and we may reclaim a namespace that impersonates a person, company or project, or that sits unused and blocks a legitimate claim.

3. What you publish

You keep every right you have in what you upload. By publishing on the registry you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, serve, display and distribute it as needed to run the service, including caching it at the edge and keeping backups. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups, which expire on their own schedule (see the privacy policy).

You must have the right to publish what you upload. In particular:

• Model weights and other files must be yours or carry a licence that permits redistribution, and you must state that licence accurately in the manifest.
• Content you did not write is republished only with the author's permission and with credit.
• You must not upload malware, material that infringes someone's rights, or personal data you have no right to share.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.

4. Organisations opened on someone's behalf

Some organisation profiles were opened by us for makers of System One models before they joined, so their models could be listed with credit. They are marked "unclaimed". If that is your organisation, claim it and it is yours: you can correct anything on it or ask us to remove it, and we will.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to attack it or anyone else: no probing for vulnerabilities without our written agreement, no scraping at a rate that degrades it for others, no circumventing storage limits, rate limits or access controls, and no automated account creation. Public models may be downloaded and used under their own licences.

6. Storage and limits

Hosted storage is subject to per-file and per-namespace limits shown in the documentation. We may raise or lower them, and we will tell you before lowering a limit that affects content you have already published. Private repositories are visible only to their namespace's members; we do not look inside them except as needed to run the service, to investigate abuse, or as required by law.

7. Takedowns

If you believe content on the registry infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the address of the content, the right you hold and how to reach you. We act on well-founded notices quickly and tell the publisher.

8. Ending things

You can delete your models and your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, with notice where practical. Sections 3, 9 and 10 survive.

9. No warranty, limited liability

The service and the models on it are provided without warranty of any kind. Models are published by their makers; we do not verify that they work, are safe, or are fit for any purpose, and reported numbers are the makers' own. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, which today is nothing.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it. Questions: [email protected].
